Connect several accounts to the same integration, then choose how Autohive uses them. For example, connect a Support inbox and a Sales inbox to Gmail, give each agent a particular inbox, or ask one agent to search both.

Manage plan and workspace accounts together on the Integrations page. You can also change the account choice for an individual agent or chat.

Availability

The Team plan supports multiple connections when the feature is enabled for your plan. The integration must also support more than one connected account.

Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, and HubSpot currently do not support adding a second account at the same plan or workspace level. Integrations that need no authentication do not need account connections.

If you cannot see an option to add another account, check the integration and your plan’s access with your plan owner.

Add another account

  1. Click your profile picture in the bottom-left sidebar and select Integrations. Opening Integrations from a workspace takes you to the same page with that workspace selected.
  2. Find and expand the integration. Use the Plan section to share the account across the plan, or expand the workspace that needs its own account.
  3. Click Add plan account or Add workspace account in that section.
  4. Sign in to the additional external account and approve access, or enter its credentials if the integration uses a credentials form. For Google integrations, check which Google account you select in the account chooser.
  5. If a naming dialog appears, check Connected as, enter an optional Account name, and click Save. You can also name the connection later using Rename in its account menu.

Use names that explain the account’s purpose, such as Support inbox, Sales inbox, or Client A. Names can contain up to 80 characters and must be unique for that integration within the same plan or workspace, ignoring capitalisation. Renaming changes the label in Autohive; it does not change the external account.

Adding an account keeps your existing connections. If you use a fixed account, adding another does not change that choice. If you use Run for every account or Let the agent decide, the new account becomes available to subsequent actions.

Plan owners manage plan accounts. Workspace members can connect, reconnect, and disconnect workspace accounts; renaming a workspace account or changing the workspace’s shared account setting requires the workspace creator or a plan owner who belongs to that workspace. See Plan integrations for the permissions and shared-account setup.

Which accounts are available in a workspace?

Autohive first determines the accounts available to the workspace, then applies your account selection setting.

Workspace setupAccounts available to its agents and workflows
No workspace account for the integrationAll connected plan accounts for that integration
One or more workspace accounts for the integrationOnly that workspace’s accounts for the integration

Workspace accounts replace the plan account set for that workspace. They are not combined with it. Inherited accounts have a Plan badge and are managed in the Plan section.

A workspace that inherits plan accounts can choose a different account or selection mode without changing the plan default or any other workspace. Adding its first workspace account replaces those inherited choices with the workspace’s own accounts.

For example, a plan has Support inbox and Sales inbox. A workspace can inherit both and choose Sales inbox as its default. If that workspace then connects Client A, only Client A is available there; other workspaces continue to inherit the two plan inboxes.

Choose how accounts are used

When multiple accounts are available, open Which account to use beneath the account list. Choose a named account under Use a fixed account, or a mode under Decide each run. Plan and workspace changes save when you select an option.

ChoiceWhat happens
An account under Use a fixed accountEvery action uses that exact account. The shared account list marks the selected account Current.
Run for every accountEach action runs once per available account, with results labelled by account. This uses every account in the workspace’s available set.
Ask me each timeExecution pauses for an account choice. In chat, the first choice is remembered for that agent and integration in the conversation. Direct workflow runs ask again on each run.
Let the agent decideThe agent chooses an available account for each action using the task context and account names. A direct workflow action uses its saved fallback account because there is no agent making the choice at that step.

The Current badge appears when the shared setting uses a fixed account. It is absent for the other modes because an account is chosen during execution or all accounts participate. Agent and chat choices can override the shared setting.

With Run for every account, successful results are kept if another account fails. Check the account-labelled results for errors before repeating the action.

Set an account choice for an agent

  1. Open the agent editor in the workspace where the agent will run.
  2. Under Add integrations and agents, find the integration card.
  3. Open Which account to use and select an account or mode.
  4. Click Save updates.

Choose Follow workspace default to use the workspace’s shared setting, including its inherited plan setting. The selector shows what that inherited choice currently means.

The agent’s choice applies within the workspace being edited. The same shared agent can have a different choice in another workspace. The setting covers the integration’s actions; it is not a separate account choice for each action.

See Agent tools & capabilities for adding integrations and enabling their actions.

Change the account choice for one chat

When a participating agent has multiple accounts available for an integration, its icon appears in the bottom action row of the chat composer.

  1. Click the integration icon to open its account settings.
  2. In a chat with several agents, check the agent name in the dialog.
  3. Select an account or mode under Account setting.
  4. Click Apply.

The choice applies to subsequent tool calls by that agent in this conversation, across messages. It does not change the saved agent, workspace, or plan setting. Different agents in the same chat can use different accounts.

Choose Follow agent default to remove the chat choice and inherit the agent’s setting again.

When a chat asks you to choose

With Ask me each time, select an account on the choice card when the agent first needs the integration. Autohive remembers that account for that agent and integration in the conversation. Refreshing the page preserves a pending choice and a completed selection.

To change a remembered choice, use the integration icon in the composer. To be prompted again on the next relevant action, select Ask me each time again.

In Slack, Discord, or Microsoft Teams chats, the agent provides a Choose account link. Open it and complete the choice in Autohive while signed in.

Which setting takes precedence?

PrioritySetting
1The current chat’s choice for that agent and integration
2The agent’s choice in this workspace
3The workspace’s shared choice
4The plan’s shared choice, when the workspace inherits plan accounts and has no choice of its own

All of these choices use the accounts available to the workspace. A chat or agent setting cannot select a plan account that has been replaced by workspace accounts.

Use accounts in workflows and scheduled work

Direct integration actions in workflows use the workspace’s effective account setting. There is no separate account selector for each workflow action. An agent running within a workflow can use its workspace-specific agent setting.

With Ask me each time, a workflow action pauses until an account is selected, and another run asks again. Choose a fixed account for work that must use a particular account without waiting for a person.

Let the agent decide selects an account when an agent calls a tool. A direct workflow action instead uses its fallback account. Select a fixed account explicitly when a direct action must run against a particular account.

Reconnect or disconnect one account

Open the options menu on the exact account row you want to manage.

ActionResult
RenameChanges the account’s display name while keeping its connection and saved selections.
ReconnectRenews access for that connection while preserving its name and saved selections. Sign in to the intended external account.
DisconnectRemoves that connection. Review the dependent-agent warning before confirming.

If you remove the default account while other accounts remain in the same plan or workspace, the oldest remaining account becomes the default. Removing the last workspace account restores access to the plan accounts, if any exist. Removing the last available account leaves the integration disconnected.

Agent and chat choices that explicitly select a disconnected account are cleared. Review their inherited settings before running again. Work that already selected an account may need to be run again after that account is reconnected or removed.

If your plan loses access to multiple connections

Changing to a plan without multiple connections preserves the extra connected accounts, but execution uses one default account for each integration. Shared, agent, and chat account-selection settings are reset, and the multiple-account controls disappear.

The integrations page displays a notice when extra accounts are being kept. After restoring access, review and set up your account choices again; the previous selection settings are not restored automatically.

Troubleshooting

ProblemWhat to check
An option to add an additional account is missingCheck that your plan has multiple connections enabled and that the integration supports it. Use Add plan account or Add workspace account in the relevant section.
A connected plan account is missing from a workspace’s choicesCheck whether the workspace has its own account for that integration. Workspace accounts replace all inherited plan accounts.
The agent uses a different account from the shared settingCheck the chat choice first, then the agent’s setting in this workspace.
Ask me each time stops asking in the same chatThe first choice is remembered. Change it using the integration icon in the composer.
Adding an account reports that it is already connectedChoose a different external account, or reconnect the existing row. Duplicate-account detection depends on the integration being able to identify the account.
A workspace rename or shared setting cannot be savedAsk the workspace creator or a plan owner who belongs to the workspace to make the change.
