Bitly
The Autohive Bitly integration connects your Bitly account with Autohive’s automation platform, enabling:
- Quick URL shortening - Shorten long URLs to compact Bitly links with custom domains and group association
- Advanced bitlink creation - Create branded short links with custom back-halves, titles, and tags
- Link management - Retrieve, update, and archive bitlinks with full lifecycle control
- Click analytics - Track click counts by time unit (minute, hour, day, week, month) and get detailed summaries
- Group organization - Manage bitlinks across multiple groups for team collaboration and campaigns
- Organization access - List and access organizations for enterprise account management
Install the integration
Log in to Autohive and navigate to Your user profile > Connections or Your workspace -> Integrations
Locate the Bitly Integration card and click Connect to workspace

Authorize with Bitly - you’ll be redirected to Bitly’s authorization page
Review and approve permissions. Autohive requests access to:
- Create and manage short links
- Access click analytics and metrics
- Manage groups and organizations
Ensure you approve the permissions required in order for the integration to function as expected.
Confirm installation - you’ll be redirected to Autohive with “Connected” status displayed
Use the integration
You can now use the integration with your agents, workflows and scheduled tasks!
- Follow our Create your first agent guide on how to create an agent.
- In the ‘Agent settings’, scroll down to the ‘Add Integrations and Agents’ section, click ‘Add integrations and agents’, and select Bitly. You can choose what individual Bitly capabilities to turn on and off.
- Once the settings have been selected, begin prompting the agent with the workflow you’d like to achieve with Autohive and Bitly!

Link Creation and Management
- Shorten URL: Quickly shorten long URLs to Bitly links with optional custom domains and group assignment
- Create Bitlink: Create advanced bitlinks with custom back-halves (e.g., bit.ly/my-link), titles, and tags for organization
- Get Bitlink: Retrieve detailed information about specific bitlinks including long URL, creation date, and metadata
- Update Bitlink: Modify bitlink properties such as title, tags, and archived status
- Expand Bitlink: Get the original long URL from any bitlink for verification or analysis
- List Bitlinks: Browse bitlinks by group with pagination, keyword search, and archived status filtering (up to 100 per request)

- Get Click Counts: Retrieve detailed click data grouped by time unit (minute, hour, day, week, month) with customizable time ranges
- Get Clicks Summary: Access total click counts for bitlinks with summary statistics by time period
Group and Organization Management
- List Groups: Browse all groups the user belongs to for team collaboration and link organization
- Get Group: Retrieve detailed information about specific groups including settings and membership
- List Organizations: Access all organizations the user is associated with for enterprise account management

Disconnect the integration
Important: Disconnecting stops data synchronization but preserves existing data in both systems.
- Navigate to Your user profile -> Connections or Your workspace -> Integrations
- Find the Bitly Integration
- Click Disconnect and confirm
Data Impact: Existing data remains unchanged in both systems, but sync stops and Autohive loses Bitly API access.
Uninstall the app
From Bitly: Go to your Bitly Settings > Authorized Applications > Find Autohive and revoke access.
