Managing agents
Once you’ve created agents, Autohive gives you full control over how they’re organised and maintained. From a single options menu you can start conversations, schedule jobs, update settings, share agents with others, or remove them entirely.
Agent options menu
Click the three-dot menu on any agent card to access all actions for that agent:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| New chat | Start a new conversation with this agent immediately |
| Favourite | Mark the agent as a favourite for quick access |
| Schedule job | Create a scheduled job for this agent — see Scheduled jobs |
| Agent settings | Open the agent editor to update its configuration |
| Share agent | Share to workspaces, generate a link, or publish to the marketplace — see Sharing agents |
| Publish to Marketplace | Shortcut to start a marketplace listing for this agent |
| Delete agent | Permanently remove the agent from this workspace |
Editing an agent
To update an agent’s name, instructions, model, integrations, or any other settings, open the agent options menu and select Edit agent. This takes you to the agent editor — see Agent settings for a full reference.
Sharing an agent
You can share an agent with other workspaces on your plan, via a shareable link, or by publishing it to the marketplace. See Sharing agents for full details.
Deleting an agent
To remove an agent from your workspace, open the agent options menu (three dots) and select Delete agent, then confirm.
Deletion is always workspace-scoped — it removes the agent from your workspace only. If the agent has been shared to other workspaces on your plan, or shared via link to other plans, those copies are unaffected and continue working independently.
What gets deleted:
- The agent is removed from your workspace
- All 1-on-1 conversations with this agent are deleted
- All scheduled jobs for this agent are deleted
- All webhooks that trigger this agent are deleted
What remains:
- Previous messages from this agent in group chats remain visible
- Copies of the agent in other workspaces or plans are unaffected
- Any share links you created for the agent remain active
Deletion restrictions:
You cannot delete an agent that is currently used by:
- Workflows — the agent is part of one or more active workflows in this workspace
- Other agents — the agent is configured as a capability of another agent in this workspace
To unblock deletion, remove the agent from all workflows and from other agents’ capabilities first.
