Think of Autohive’s agent ecosystem as your personal directory of AI teammates — each one specialised, ready to collaborate, and designed to make your workday genuinely better.

Meet your extended team

The agent ecosystem gives you access to a growing library of AI specialists:

  • Ready-to-work agents: Pre-built AI specialists, each trained for specific tasks and industries, available immediately from the Marketplace.
  • Community contributions: Agents shared by other Autohive creators who have solved similar challenges.
  • Custom teammates: Agents you build yourself, configured with the exact tools, knowledge, and instructions your workflows need.

Finding agents: the Agents section

The Agents section is where you discover and manage the agents in your workspace.

  • Getting there: Select a workspace, then click Agents in the top navigation.
  • Browse the Marketplace: Click Browse Marketplace to explore pre-built agents. Each agent has a short description explaining what it does and how it can help.
  • Search: Use the search field to find agents by name within your workspace.

Your go-to crew: the agents sidebar

Once agents are added to your workspace, they appear in the Agents sidebar for quick access.

  • Instant access: Your agents are always one click away — no hunting through menus.
  • Start a chat: Click any agent in the sidebar to open a conversation.
  • Agent options: Use the three-dot menu on any agent to access settings or remove it from the sidebar.

Working with agents

Interacting with agents feels natural:

  • Conversational: Chat normally in the main window or @mention a specific agent to bring their expertise into a conversation.
  • Group chats: Add multiple agents and team members to a single conversation to combine specialisations.
  • Smart tools: Agents use the integrations and knowledge you’ve configured for them — they’ll tell you if they need anything additional to complete a task.

Managing your agents

Editing an agent

To update an agent’s name, avatar, capabilities, knowledge, or instructions:

  1. Navigate to the Agents section in your workspace.
  2. Find the agent and click its three-dot menu.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Make your changes across the Agent Identity, Configuration, Capabilities, Knowledge, and Settings tabs.
  5. Click Save updates.

Deleting an agent

When you need to remove an agent from your workspace:

  1. Navigate to the Agents section in your workspace.
  2. Find the agent you want to delete.
  3. Click the three-dot menu.
  4. Select Delete agent.
  5. Confirm the deletion.

What gets deleted:

  • The agent is removed from your workspace
  • All 1-on-1 conversations with this agent are deleted
  • All scheduled jobs for this agent are deleted
  • All webhooks that trigger this agent are deleted

What remains:

  • Previous messages from this agent in group chats remain visible

Deletion restrictions:

You cannot delete an agent if it is currently used by:

  • Workflows — the agent is a node in one or more workflows
  • Other agents — the agent is configured as a capability of another agent

To delete a blocked agent, first remove it from all workflows and from any other agent’s capabilities.
