Billing
Your billing command centre. Manage your subscription, payment methods, and credit usage all in one place.

Overview tab
The Overview tab gives you a snapshot of your current plan, credit usage, and payment details.
Plan details
At the top of the Overview tab you’ll see your current plan card, which shows:
- Plan name — which tier you’re on (Free, Starter, Team, or Custom)
- Monthly credits — how many credits your plan allocates each month
- Monthly storage — the storage limit included with your plan
- Credit renewal date — when your credits reset for the next billing period
- Credit usage — a progress bar showing credits used against your limit, with a “View breakdown” link to jump to the Usage tab
Upgrading your plan
If you’re on the Free or Starter plan, you’ll see an Upgrade plan button. Clicking it opens a plan selection overlay where you can compare available tiers and select one to upgrade to.
If you’re on the Team plan and want to discuss a Custom plan, use the Talk to us about a Custom plan button to get in touch.
Buying more credits
Paid plan members can purchase a one-off credit top-up at any time using the Buy more credits button. This opens a modal where you:
- Enter the dollar amount you want to spend (minimum $10, maximum $1,000)
- See how many credits that amount will purchase at the current rate
- Confirm the purchase — the credits are added to your balance immediately and your card is charged (plus applicable tax)
Auto top-up
Paid plan members can configure automatic credit top-ups to prevent agents from stopping when credits run out. See the Auto Top-ups section below for full details.
Credit card details
If you’re on a paid plan with a payment method connected, your masked card number, card brand, cardholder name, and expiry date are shown here. You can add or update your payment method by following the prompts in this section.
Billing details
Paid plan members need to provide billing details for invoicing and tax purposes. This section shows your registered address. You can update the following fields:
- Company name
- Address
- City
- Post code
- Country
- Tax ID (optional — for VAT, GST, or other tax registration numbers)
Payment issue alerts
If there is a problem processing your renewal payment, a warning banner appears at the top of the page. The billing details section will show:
- Attempts — how many payment retry attempts have been made out of the maximum allowed
- Next attempt — the scheduled date and time for the next retry
Update your payment method promptly to avoid service interruption. If the maximum number of attempts is reached without a successful payment, your plan will be cancelled.
Downgrading your plan
If you’re on a paid non-Custom plan, a Downgrade plan section is shown at the bottom of the Overview tab. Only the plan owner can initiate or cancel a downgrade.
- Downgrade to Freemium — schedules a downgrade to the Free plan at the end of your current billing period. After downgrading you’ll be limited to 100,000 credits and 1GB storage per month.
- Cancel Downgrade — if a downgrade is already scheduled, this button cancels it and keeps you on your current paid plan.
Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, not immediately.
Auto Top-ups
Auto top-ups automatically add credits to your account when your balance runs low, ensuring your agents continue running without interruption.
How auto top-ups work
When your credit balance runs low, Autohive automatically purchases the configured top-up amount and charges your payment method.
Required setting:
- Top-up amount - The dollar amount (USD) to charge each time your balance runs low (minimum $10, maximum $10,000)
Optional setting:
- Monthly spend limit - Set a maximum amount you can be billed per month for auto top-ups (minimum $10, maximum $100,000). When this limit is reached, automatic top-ups stop until the next billing cycle.
Configuring auto top-ups
To set up auto top-ups:
- Navigate to your billing page
- Set your top-up amount - the dollar amount to charge each time your credits run low
- Optionally, set a monthly spend limit - the maximum monthly billing amount for auto top-ups
Your account will automatically purchase credits to keep your agents running.
Invoices tab
The Invoices tab is your complete billing history. Everything you need for accounting and expense tracking lives here.

Summary cards
Three summary cards show headline figures for the selected period:

Tool Credit Usage (bar chart) — shows credits consumed by tool executions per day. Toggle Running total on or off the same way. Days after today are shown in a lighter colour.
Both charts mark today with a dashed vertical line.
Usage table
Below the charts, a detailed table lets you drill into usage across four views. Use the tabs to switch between them:
| View | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Agents | Credit usage broken down by individual agent |
| Tools | Credit usage broken down by tool type |
| Workspaces | Credit usage broken down by workspace |
| Members | Credit usage broken down by team member |
